GSSA Announces 2022 Superintendent of the Year for the state of Georgia and now will represent Georgia at the national level competition.  Dr. Noris Price superintendent of the Baldwin County Schools has been selected as the 2022 state of Georgia Superintendent of the Year.  The announcement was made at the GSBA/GSSA conference on December 3, 2021, at the Renaissance Waverly Hotel during the annual conference.  Dr. Price was selected from a pool of 24 nominated superintendents which was narrowed to 4 state finalists of Dr. Steve Smith superintendent of Bleckley County, Wes Taylor superintendent of Lowndes County, Dr. Jason Branch superintendent of Oconee County, and the winner Dr. Price.  It is a great honor to be nominated by your board of education and then selected by a committee of your peers. Dr. Price will now compete on the national level and her accomplishments will be highlighted as she goes through that process.  Dr. Price’s steady leadership has been recognized by her colleagues and was a big reason for her selection.  She has moved the Baldwin County schools forward in student achievement and brought a level of professionalism that is being noticed throughout the state of Georgia. Congratulations to the Baldwin County Schools, the local board of education and of course, Dr. Price.
