Congratulations to Dr. Curtis Jones of Bibb County Schools for being named the 2019 Georgia Superintendent of the Year. The announcement and the award was presented to Dr. Jones on December 7th at the GSBA/GSSA Annual Conference in Atlanta. On December 17th, AASA announced Dr. Jones as one of the four finalists for the 2019 National Superintendent of the Year award. Dr. Jones will now compete with the state finalists from Texas, Indiana, and Idaho for the 2019 National Superintendent of the Year honor. The National Superintendent of the Year award will be announced at the AASA Annual Conference in Los Angeles February 14-16, 2019.
