Dr. Curtis Jones is the GSSA 2016 Bill Barr Award Recipient

Dr. Curtis Jones, superintendent of Bibb County Schools, is the recipient of the prestigious 2016 Bill Barr Leadership Award. Dr. Bill Barr was the first Executive Director of GSSA. Prior to that, he served as a local school superintendent as well as in a variety of other capacities during a long and distinguished career. Dr. Barr became known for his ability to teach the art of school and system leadership. Dr. Curtis Jones has risen to the top of his profession as he emulates this supportive yet instructive nature to his fellow superintendents. Dr. Jones is very highly respected among his colleagues for his willingness to share his wealth of knowledge and expertise in driving organizational improvement which ultimately favors the children of each respective community.
