  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 1. Hold or be eligible for a Georgia leadership certificate at the Tier 2 level. Georgia certification information is available from the Division of Certification, Georgia Professional Standards Commission, 200 Piedmont Ave., Suite 1702, Atlanta, GA 30334; 800-869-7775 or www.gapsc.com.
  • 2. Of good moral character, not convicted of any crime involving moral turpitude, as required by GA law, possession of high standards of ethical and moral conduct and that the applicant promotes the success of all students by adhering to ethical principles and professional norms.
  • 3. Has no immediate family members serving on the Oglethorpe County Board of Education or employed as an administrator in the school district after July 1, 2009, as required by GA law.
  • 4. Experience as a classroom teacher and as an administrator at the school and/or central office level required. Experience in Georgia public schools preferred.
  • 5. Application letter must include a desire to make an extended commitment to Oglethorpe County Schools and a pledge to continue a high standard of excellence.
  • 6. Must commit to living in the county within 18 months of employment and enrolling any school aged children in grades K-10 in Oglethorpe County Schools.
